Between the 10th of 17th of April 2026 we will visit the beatiful country of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We will visit Sarajevo, Mostar, and Srebrenica. Throughout the trip, we will learn much about the long history of the region; including Ottoman-era bazaars and mosques, the assassination of archduke Franz Ferdinand, and the Srebrenica genocide.

To prepare for the trip we have organized several activities related to Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have held a Bosnia-themed pub quiz. Additionally, we watched the movie Quo Vadis, Aida?, about the failures of the UN and Dutch government during the Srebrenica genocide of 1995. As supplement to the movie, we organized an interactive guest lecture with Alma Mustafić, who is an expert on and survivor of the Srebrenica genocide.
